Canon Organizes its 38th Volunteer Activity, Providing Printer and Supplies to Remote
School to Promote Sustainable Education for Thai Youth
Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a global leader in digital imaging technology, organized its 38th Canon Volunteer activity. Led by Mr. Hiroshi Yokota, President and Chief Executive Officer, together with 55 Canon employees, the group visited Ban Laem Thong School in Dan Makham Tia District, Kanchanaburi Province. The volunteer team enhanced the school landscape by painting, provided student ID photography services, and provided a Canon printer with ink, a drinking water dispenser, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and various consumer goods. This effort aimed to enhance the teaching environment and encourage young students to grow into valuable contributors to the country.
Mr. Hiroshi Yokota, President and Chief Executive Officer, Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd, said, "Canon has continuously organized Canon Volunteer activities to contribute to the underprivileged communities in Thailand. This time, we visited Ban Laem Thong School in Kanchanaburi Province, a small school with only about 50 students. In addition to providing ID photography services, we delivered a printer, a drinking water dispenser, and various necessary supplies. Canon staff also participated in painting playground equipment, school buildings, cafeteria tables and benches, revitalize the vegetable garden, organizing activities to educate about waste segregation and basic safety tips. We also provided lunch for the students. Our educational outreach aims to ensure the youth can grow up in healthy and safe environment."
